On Monday, August 24, 2015 at approximately 1:30 p.m., Troopers from Troop D- Danielson responded to the Old Trinity Church located on Church Street in the town of Brooklyn for a reported burglary.
Upon arriving at the church, Troopers found that windows had been smashed, other property had been damaged and fire extinguisher chemical had been sprayed throughout the church. A Sherwood model RX-4109 AM/FM, 200-watt stereo receiver was taken from the church.
Troopers secured the scene, conducted a search of the area for possible suspects, and initiated an investigation. Troopers spoke with witnesses, and located evidence.
The burglary is believed to have occurred sometime between 8/16/15-8/22/15 during the hours when the church was not occupied.
