It only took about 10 minutes for Plainfield Residents who gathered inside Plainfield Town Hall last night to approve the towns 2015-2016 town budget. The $46.1 million dollar budget calls for a hike to the general government budget of $574,000 while the education budget proposal is $242,500 more for the coming year. Officials plan to zero the increase out by taking money from the town’s fund balance as well as the sewere assessment account to offset any mill rate increase.
